Board Eligible or Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Practice physician needed for a job opportunity in Northern New Jersey starting mid October. The position offers a full-time 40 hour work week. The provider must be well-versed outpatient primary care and comfortable working corrections.
Internal medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine characterized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
Required Qualifications
NJ licensed Internal Medicine or Family Practice! Provider needed to fill a Medical Director position and see p! atients. DATES: 10/14 - 10/28 (May Extend). SCHEDULE: Mon - Fri: 8a - 5p, with call coverage 7 days a week telephonic. Average calls per night 1. Type of Patients seen: 100% Adult Male, 15-20ppd, and 100% of the patient base are scheduled. Typical Case Seen: Sick visits, Hypertension, Some HIV, Diabetics, Hepatitis C, physicals, and chronic illnesses. Support Staff: 1 x MD, 2 x NP's, 1 x Psychiatrist, and 1 x Dentist. Written Charting
