Neighborhood Health Services Corporation has immediate positions available for Internists and Family Medicine Physicians to join o! ur comprehensive community health centers located in Elizabeth; Newton; and Plainfield, New Jersey. We prefer physicians who possess the following qualifications: commitment to improving quality healthcare outcomes; commitment to community health; a strong desire to provide comprehensive primary care; cultural competency; team-spirited; exhibits exemplary customer service in all interactions. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
More than 30 years ago, the Neighborhood Health Services Corporation, previously known as the Plainfield Health Center, was born under the auspices of the 1960's Model Cities Neighborhood Program. Led by a dedicated group of community activists, the Center was initially created to provide accessible health care to underserved residents of the West End of Plainfield.
Over the years, Neighborhood Health Services Corporation developed and enhanced its services with an increase in primary and specialty healthcare delivery, as well as care man! agement programs to serve a growing patient population. As we ! progressed, in response to the need for quality comprehensive healthcare services in communities at large, our delivery of quality patient care expanded its reach to the entire City of Plainfield; the City of Elizabeth; Newton; Phillipsburg; and neighboring communities. Today, Neighborhood Health Services Corporation serves more than 22,000 patients of all ages annually. Its total care program includes Adult Medicine; Women’s Health Services; Family Planning; Pediatrics; Dentistry; and Social Work support services. Additional services include HIV/AIDS comprehensive treatment, care management and therapy; nutritional counseling; and outreach services.
