To keep pace with the changing health care environment and build a healthier future for our children, Nemours has embarked on a multi-phase expansion to creat! e a children’s hospital like no other in the region. Upon co! mpletion in June 2014, the hospital will include private, family-centered, technologically advanced patient rooms, a new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and a new expanded Emergency Department.
We are accepting applications for a Neonatologist. This is level III NICU with complete surgical and medical support in the beautiful Women’s Childbirth Center at Atlantic City Medical Center in Pomona, NJ.
Responsibilities include:
Delivery of medical care to inpatient NICU patients in the 24-hour in-house coverage model.
Prenatal consultations for pregnant with anticipated need for complex care.
Scholarly activities include the education of pediatric residents and fellows in neonatology, a requirement for active research and support of the Nemours research strategy.
Regular attendance at Pediatric Departmental meetings and general medical staff meetings as required by hospital and departmental bylaws.
Maintenance of a! ccurate and up-to-date medical records and summaries as required by hospital and department bylaws.
Participation in quality improvement, service improvement and leadership activities, including patient satisfaction and safety initiatives, risk management and peer review activities.
Representing AI duPont Hospital for Children and our AtlantiCare partnership hospitals.
Requirements
Maintenance of board certification as required by employer.
Board Certified in Pediatrics and Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology.
Appropriate for Assistant Professor of Pediatrics or a higher academic rank
