Leads Global Medical Affairs strategy and implementation for specified compound(s).
- Acts as medical representative on the Global Brand Team, , and International Clinical Team
- Provides clinical leadership and accountable for global medical affairs strategy and life cycle management
- Acts as clinical lead for Scientific Communication deliverables and publications (with Scientific Affairs group), brand-related i! nput into therapeutic area and disease area strategies. Provide medical/scientific training to relevant stakeholders regarding the brand.
- Coordinates global Medical Affairs program, working in close collaboration with Regions and countries. Resource planning and management of Global Medical Affairs program budget.
- Provide clinical leadership in interactions with external stakeholders (medical experts, advisory boards, patient advocacy groups) and internal stakeholders (Research, Development, Marketing, Regions, Countries)
- Accountable for talent development of direct reports: recruiting, developing, performance management.
- Contributes to cross-functional initiatives
MD required. Board certified endocrinologist/internist preferred. • Advanced knowledge of Endocrinology required.
- Must have >3-5 years of demonstrated leadership and accomplishment in clinical trials and/or medical aff! airs (planning, executing, reporting clinical trials, leading medical affairs activities) in pharmaceutical industry.
- People management experience and matrix management experience required.
- Strong leadership, management, interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think strategically.
- Organizational awareness (inter-relationship of departments, business priorities), and experience working on cross functional teams desired.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
